The teenage years define who they’ll become. Without guidance, confidence, and positive role models, many boys slip through the cracks.
Soon to Be Men is a six week school-based programme (delivered once a week) for young men aged 13–16 who are struggling socially, emotionally, or academically.
In small groups led by trusted male mentors, boys explore what it means to be a man — not through lectures, but through connection, challenge, and honest conversations.
We work with teachers and school staff to identify young men who:

Through honest conversations, mentoring, and hands-on activities, young men learn, grow and build trust.
They leave with more confidence, clearer identity, and the tools to face life as men — not just older boys.

Soon to Be Men is a mentorship programme founded by Ross Jackson Hicks, founder of Man Down, a mens mental health charity.
This programme has been specifically designed for young aged 13–16 facing emotional, social or academic challenges, it offers a safe space to talk, connect and grow.
Through mentorship and practical support, we help them discover who they are and who they could be.
